Rehan Mirza, Founding Executive Director of Sanad Trust Foundation, is an organizational psychologist, educator, and graduate of the Teachers College at Columbia University with over 20 years of international and grassroots experience.

Born in Montreal, Canada and raised in Miami, Florida, Rehan’s academic and professional experience have been vast and diverse. He holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and obtained his Masters degree in Social-Organizational Psychology from the Teachers College, Columbia University in New York City. He continued his academic pursuits taking  Ph.D. level courses at Nova Southeastern University in Neuropsychology before taking an indefinite leave of absence due to his father’s passing and the increased responsibilities in his personal and professional life. He has traveled extensively, allowing him to expand his perspective of people’s culture, ethnicities, backgrounds, religious and socio-economic backgrounds across the spectrum.

Attiqa was born in Pakistan and raised for the first decade of her life in her native country. She migrated to Montreal, Canada at age 11 and completed her undergraduate studies earning a BComm with major in finance and minor in economics and women’s studies. She has continued to pursue her academic dreams through obtaining an Islamic teacher education program certificate, language enrichment programs in Arabic and Islamic studies. She earned  a graduate certificate in nonprofit management with the Harvard Extension School in 2020 and continues her professional and academic training through local and online opportunities. She is fluent in English, Urdu, Punjabi and can communicate in French as well. She moved to the USA a decade ago after marrying her husband Rehan Mirza and has been a part of South Florida ever since. Her ethnic, racial, religious and socio-economic background has shaped her pluralistic outlook on life and the world.

Fareeza is a Guyanese American with a bachelor’s degree from FIU in administration and experience of 15 years in the non-profit sector, serving youth and families since her own youth. She is sensitive to the needs of the diverse population and has deep insight into the racial and cultural divide that sometimes plagues our communities. She has over 20 years of experience in working with children and remains passionate about contributing positively to growth of our community through her work with the foundation.

Ameena is a Trinidadian American with a bachelors and Masters degree in Education and Curriculum Design. She brings a vast knowledge through her academic training and has adapted to the needs of the foundation by fulfilling a role as communications coordinator along with being a learning coach for middle and elementary school students. She is never afraid of a challenge and continues to work tirelessly to increase awareness about the programs, services and efforts of the foundation in the South Florida community and beyond.

Sadia is Pakistani American who is a pharmacy technician by trade but switched her career 6 years ago to join the foundation with its mission and vision. She is a mother of four who brings so much in her skill and talent to the overall advancement of the Foundation’s current work and future goals. Her calm demeanor and easy going personality makes her ideal in her role as support coordinator and learning Coach. She mingles easily with people and always leaves you smiling and touched by her genuine and caring attitude.

Hiba is US born, first-generation, Pakistani-American Muslim. Hiba is a licensed Pharmacist with high academic and professional achievement, as well as a vast skill set. She serves on the advisory board and also provides mentorship to youth through Sacred Sciences teaching, extracurricular activities and after school enrichment programs. Growing up in New Jersey, she understands the challenges and opportunities of American Muslim youth and adults. Hiba offers a significant voice in helping shape our programs and their viability and success for those we serve.

Humera is an Indian born American Muslim who has been a part of the Miami community since 2014. She has been trained in the religious and spiritual sciences, specifically the study of the Quran and its meaning but she considers herself a lifelong learner. For this reason, she continues to take classes with teachers across the world to constantly improve and increase her knowledge and understanding of the religious/spiritual sciences.  She has a gift of teaching young students and especially known for her loving and kind attitude towards her students. She  joined Sanad Prep as a Coach for sacred sciences in 2015 and has remained an integral part of the team ever since.

Nasim is one of the hidden gems of the South Florida community and has lived here since 1978. She migrated from Pakistan and began her family with her husband Mukhtar Hasan, an engineer by profession right here in South Florida. Although her primary commitments in life were raising and nurturing her children and family, she played a pivotal role in organizing and facilitating programs for Muslim youth through the Miami Gardens Mosque since the 80’s. She has training in Montessori education and has been teaching children and youth for over 4 decades. Her connection and service to the Foundation remains a source of inspiration, joy and pride for us. She is in the truest sense of the word, a guardian of the Foundation.
