2. Life, it’s making me humble…

January 19, 2024 | Rajab 7, 1445

Last week marked the 21st year of my father’s passing.

He was the bedrock of my life in many ways and the earth has been moving beneath my feet ever since. With time, the footing becomes more stable.

I am now able to look back and ahead, without losing balance.

The paths connected to the work on my soul, the rights of my family, and the mission of Sanad Trust are closer now than ever. Still, walking one while not losing sight of the other remains difficult, and I know I often stumble trying.

With age you realize the paths were never flat, but on an incline. They are upon your life’s mountain.

I intend to write more about the thoughts and experiences I have along my way.

Mostly, because it is often a lonely, albeit trodden path. Perhaps I can help those who are treading alongside or those who are coming up behind. Or those who are further along can share their wisdom and prayers.

Maybe through writing and reading, we can connect in a way that is of mutual benefit.

So, bismillah. I’ll be sharing the ups and downs of life and work across my social media accounts (@rehan.climbs) and Sanad’s, and we’ll also include longer-form content in the sanadtrust.org newsletter and blog.

Please join those to read, to share, and…insha’Allah, to meet at the top.
