SPML: Jummah is BIG deal

Sanad Prep Morning Lights Assemblies are done every morning at Sanad Prep. They serve as a reminder for students and staff. In this SPML assembly we discuss just how big jummah actually is. It is in fact an opportunity to remember we are all connected, its a small (big) world after all.

Of the few words to describe the da’wah given by the scholar Habib Ubaydullah al Attas, the most prominent word would be ‘enlightening’. The talk was interactive, with the Sanad Prep students answering and asking questions about their Islamic studies, and their Quran memorization. The most interesting section of the talk was when Habib Ubaydullah al Attas spoke of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), and his hadith, and the way he lived his life. It was a very beautiful experience, listening to the scholar speak of the Prophet (peace be upon him), and of the examples and importance of ‘Adab’, or manners. The scholar comes from Mecca, and the mood throughout the whole visit was very comfortable. Habib Ubaydullah al Attas told us that although he was a known scholar and hafiz, he did not gain that knowledge for his title. He told us that he learned that knowledge for Allah.
